THE MUGS

I have designed a series of mugs that will have images printed on them. These images will be of brigit within the sets of several famous artworks and commercial film shoots. Using 'artbox' in second life i have constructed snapshots of brigit as Dorothy from the wizard of oz, man on wire, the Simpsons and the Beatles. These works represent the commodification of all kinds of virtualities. While we are engaging in these spaces we become increasingly aware that second life etc are a massive construct of modern capitalism. These works are intended to highlight this.
